About

I’m an emerging, gay, next-generation playwright living with Type 1 Diabetes and currently resides on a farm in rural Chatham-Kent, Southwestern Ontario. I write plays that explore rural identity and our relationship to the natural world around us.

I’ve been very fortunate to have presented a number of original plays in Ottawa, Ontario, with work being seen at the Ottawa Fringe Festival, Youth Infringement, Fresh Meat Fest, and Undercurrents Theatre Festival.

Additionally, in 2016 I was invited to attend Q2Q: A Symposium on Queer Theatre and Performance, in Vancouver, to pitch my idea for a queer arts festival to artistic directors from across Canada. After finishing my undergraduate degree I went on to train as a performing arts lighting technician at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity over the summer of 2018.

In March 2023 I held a play development workshop for my first full-length play, Wind, and I’m presently developing a trilogy of plays inspired by one of my hometown’s local legends, and I’ve begun writing a debut novel inspired by my experience growing up with Type 1 Diabetes.

I was shortlisted for the 2023 Jon Kaplan Fund Award for a Young Canadian Playwright.
